WAYMARK 9 — THEME 1 (SCHOOL LIFE)
OFFLINE INTERACTIVE CLASSROOM BOOK

GET STARTED
Keep the whole folder together. Double-click START.cmd.
The first start prepares two large files (a few seconds), then the book opens.
Choose Student’s Book or Workbook on the opening screen.
The Windows runtime is included; no installation or internet is required.
Run STOP.cmd to stop the local server.

CONTROLS
Book, activity, and media controls are at the bottom, with turquoise buttons.
Use Previous / Next or the left / right arrow keys to turn pages.
Zoom, Fit page, Full screen, Pen, Audio / video, Notes, and Guide are included.

ACTIVITIES
Click the gently animated hand icon next to an exercise on the book page.
Activities keep the book’s original text, artwork, tables, and typography,
rendered sharply from the original PDFs. Long activities are arranged in columns.
Show Answer reveals one answer per click with a short, quiet tone. Hide All hides them.
Ticks are green; crosses are red. Open-ended student answers are never displayed.
Keys appear in the original blanks, cells and options; question-and-answer keys
appear beside their questions.
Page toggles the complete original book page.
Previous activity / Next activity move between exercises without closing.
Show Text opens the related reading text (Nora, A Warm Country, Somewhere Far Away,
Getting Ready for a Safer Digital World, A Tour of History and Culture).

LISTENING AND VIDEO
Audio 1.1–1.5 open with their exercise; Digital Story 1 opens from its QR code.
Play / Pause, seek, and playback speed controls are at the bottom.
Show Text opens the transcript with timed karaoke highlighting.
Click a transcript line to jump to it.

TIMER
Timer (bottom bar) counts down 2–20 minutes. It sounds only in the last 30 seconds
and rings at the end. Drag it by its top area; – makes it small.

PEN AND NOTES
Draw on the book or an activity with a mouse, stylus, or touch screen.
Pen colour, width, eraser, undo, and recoverable clearing are included.
Use Notes for per-page notes and Save backup / Restore backup.

OFFLINE USE
The server binds only to http://127.0.0.1:18902 on this computer
(STEPWISE uses 18901, so both books can be open together).
